It's been pretty hard keeping up with this as I've been working loads and not finishing till late. I'm pleased to say I haven't missed a day yet. It's been a challenge to make myself find something new to take a photo of but I really like how it has opened my eyes to see the world differently.

I decided to have a look at the new Christmas stock that's now in at Lush and it is not disappointing! Sorry about the pictures I was bored at home so I thought I would take them myself with my tripod, also excuse the pissed off face it's actually a look of concentration! I have done an 'Alexa Chung' with the tips of my hair which id what the second photo is trying to show! I have been thinking about it for a while and after I saw Lily and Claire do theirs I thought I'd get my cousin to give it a go. I went for a pretty subtle look only bleaching a couple of inches up but I love it, I think it'll look better when my hair is wavy as I haven't worn it straight in a while so it looks weird to me.

I was really looking forward to Autumn but now I'm not so sure because I'm so cold!! Today I have wrapped up in enough layers that I'm not too bad but I've been freezing the last couple of days. Oh well, I'm the kind of person that gets cold no matter what the temperature even when we had the hot days I found it cold.

In other news my Brother and his girlfriend had a baby boy on Saturday so I'm now an official Aunty (my boyfriend's sister has a baby so I was already technically an Aunty!), sadly though they live in Australia and I won't be able to see him until they come over to England next spring/summer.

Boots: New Look

My shopping trip yesterday was a success! I managed to find a pair of brown boots and they were pretty much what I imagined them to look like. Hooray! As soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them.

I feel I must point out that I find it very hard to find shoes and boots that I like that aren't made out of leather. I don't wear or buy any leather goods because I am a strict Vegetarian which was pretty difficult at first getting used to checking labels (much like when you become vegetarian and have to check food labels). In the last few years I think that non-leather shoes have become easier to get a hold of and have been of better quality which is excellent for me and other Vegetarians.

My other purchases weren't as exciting but they were much needed: long sleeve white t-shirt from Primark, long sleeve grey t-shirt from New Look and an electric blue cardigan from H&M (Same as this one but blue of course).

I thought I would just do a quick post to show you my new mood ring I bought off Ebay. I found one of my old ones from the 90's (which is actually a necklace) the other day but it doesn't work any more so I thought I'd buy one. I love it! I'd forgotten how awesome they are.

I'm pretty excited as I'm off shopping tomorrow I'm just hoping the bigger Primark I'm going to has all the things I haven't been able to get yet. Also on a bit of a mission to find a pair of brown boots, we'll see how successful I am tomorrow. Have you got plans for the Friday/the weekend?

One of the things I think is great about Ryan is he has this awesome drive to keep taking photos everyday (and even come up with new ides) even though he works odd hours and it means he gets very little sleep.

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the heavily edited photos, I've started using a new photo editor and it has this great time machine feature and it's my new favourite thing!! Today was a day off so I actually got to wear normal clothes not uniform. I'm sure if you've seen my other clothing posts you can tell by now I love comfort and I don't really do dressing up unless I have somewhere to go. I have a new addiction to shorts but am so disappointed at how the weather has gone completely downhill so I have to wrap up warm with leggings which is such a bummer, although I am pretty excited about Autumn being round the corner.

On some sad news I had to have my hamster put down last Thursday, he was pretty poorly and his tumour had grown pretty big so he wasn't really eating properly. He was a good age (2 years 4 months) but it never makes it easier.

Crappy week

So the last week has been a bit stressful. Firstly I now very strongly dislike my job and am currently searching desperately for a new one, major problem is I have no other experience other than retail the one section I am desperate to get out of!

And secondly my gorgeous hamster Elias has been going downhill quickly. About a week and a half ago my boyfriend and I noticed that he was starting to lose his fur, being that he is 2 years 4 months we figured that it was probably due to old age. We then noticed it get worse and last Wednesday when I picked him up out of his cage I noticed he had a big lump in his abdomen so I booked him into the vet Thursday morning. It turns out the fur loss is due to mites and is now pretty substantial with most of his face being fur-less and the lump is a tumour. Pretty shit news really. The vet said that all the time he is happy and running around (which surprisingly he is pretty active even with his new waddle!) there is no need to put him down but he hasn't got long left. I've just been told to spoil him with treats and just generally make his life happy.

Sorry about the somber post but I felt I needed to share.

I was so excited yesterday when I looked at my emails as I saw that Motel has put up a new section online with one off re-worked vintage pieces in here!

Hopefully the laptop case will still be there when I get paid Friday as it's gorgeous! Also as a bonus when I went onto the website a pop up appeared that when I entered my email address I got a £10 voucher for Motel! This is very handy as I would really like to spend a lot of money there at the moment.

Phew! That is unfortunately sometimes as exciting as my life gets!!

As a side note I wish I was updating this blog more often but I have been so busy at work and all my photos I've taken recently have been with film and have yet to be developed so I can't post them! I will try harder although I can't promise that they will get any more interesting!
